The Landy House

A place where people can gather facts and support in a peaceful, uplifting setting

Much of our grief support occurs at The Landy House located on a site which is separate from our main offices. Nestled in a quiet community, the Landy House provides a tranquil setting for our bereavement support groups, individualized grief counseling and our children's grief support group, Building Bridges.

A brief history of The Landy House

In 2002, after three years of searching for the perfect location, Hospice of San Angelo received a call from the heirs of the late Dr. Aaron Landy informing us about a property at 14 S. Jefferson. This location was formerly the site of practice of Dr. Landy and turned out to be just what we had been searching for in a location to provide bereavement services. Dr. Landy's heirs then informed us of their intent to donate this location to Hospice of San Angelo asking that we use it for promoting our mission here in the Concho Valley. Funding for renovation of this site was fulfilled by the generosity of the Redwine Foundation of Houston, our dear friend Eva Camunez Tucker and the Hospice of San Angelo Foundation. The end result was a beautiful and inviting space where groups and individuals alike could meet with our counseling staff, and the home of a library that exists for anyone seeking advice and support regarding end of life issues.

Like all other services of Hospice of San Angelo, our bereavement services are available to anyone without charge to the individual. We invite all interested to come by for a cup of coffee because, like our offices at the Cactus Hotel, the coffee pot is always on.

Services provided to the community of San Angelo not otherwise affiliated with Hospice of San Angelo made possible through donations and grants. Your support is greatly appreciated!
